The exceptional quality and craftsmanship of precious materials are delicate in nature and require adequate care of your Tacit fine jewelry. Clean pieces with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry and gently polish with a microfiber cloth; store each item separately in a soft pouch or box to prevent scratches. Our ceramic color-coated silver is sealed with a clear enamel topcoat for durability—please avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaners, chemical dips, harsh chemicals (including chlorine and household cleaners), and any abrasives. Put jewelry on last (after perfume, hairspray, and lotions) and remove before vigorous activity. Slight variations in color are inherent to the technical process. With simple, regular care, your Tacit shine—and finish—will last.

Jewelry care

We respect your privacy. We do not store credit card numbers and all transactions are performed on a secure server and using an industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required.  Depending on your chosen payment option, we may use a third party service provider that handles payments for us and will receive your payment card information in order to process and ship your purchase.  We do not sell client information or share it for purposes other than processing your order.  
When visitors come to our site, it automatically collects information such as the IP address of the device used, web browser and web pages visited on our site as well as sources of traffic and key word searches.  You can clear cookies and other site data by going to Preferences in your browser, then Clear Browsing Data.

Returns & Exchanges Policy:
We want you to love your Tacit piece. If something’s not right, we’re here to help.

Return window:
Returns for refund: within 10 days of delivery.
Exchanges / store credit: within 20 days of delivery.

Eligibility:
To be eligible, items must be:
Unused and unworn, in original condition with no scratches, chips, dents, bends, or signs of wear.
Returned with all original packaging, pouches/boxes, tags, certificates, and accessories.
Not resized, engraved, altered, or custom ordered.
Color-coated silver: coating and clear enamel must be intact (no abrasions, chips, or chemical damage).

Non-returnable items:
Custom or made-to-order pieces, engraved/resized items, final-sale items, and gift cards.
Items returned outside the stated windows or not in resalable condition.

How to start a return:
Email support@tacitjewelry.com with your order number and reason for return/exchange within the window.
We’ll issue a Return Authorization (RA) and instructions. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Shipping your return:
Within the U.S.: we can provide a prepaid, insured label; a $12 return shipping/processing fee is deducted from refunds. Exchanges/store credit: fee waived.
International: please use an insured, trackable service. Original shipping, duties, and taxes are non-refundable. Any return duties/fees are the sender’s responsibility.
We’re not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit without our label. Please pack securely in original packaging.

Refunds & timing:
Once inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
If an item fails inspection, we’ll contact you to discuss next steps.

Damaged or incorrect items:
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us at support@tacitjewelry.com within 5 days of delivery with photos. We’ll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund.

Warranty & repairs:
Tacit pieces are crafted to fine-jewelry standards and include a 1-year craftsmanship warranty covering manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover normal wear, loss/theft, accidental damage, bent prongs, broken chains from pulling, or damage from chemicals/abrasives (including to color coating).
Outside warranty or for wear-and-tear, we offer repairs and refinishing at a reasonable service fee. Email repairs@tacitjewelry.com for a quote.

Holiday extension:
Orders placed Nov 15–Dec 31 may be returned through Jan 15 (eligibility rules still apply).

Gift returns:
Gifted items may be returned for store credit within the eligibility window. Refunds go to the original purchaser’s payment method.
